| Are you Attending? | Please complete the "Graduation Confirmation Form" by April 23, 2010. Even if you do not plan to attend, you must fill out the online form. |

The graduation ceremony will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. The ceremony will last approximately two hours. • Master Graduates should arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. and report to the Robing Area on Alumni Park. • Doctoral Graduates should arrive no later than 9:15 a.m. and report to the Robing Area on Alumni Park. • Guests are suggested to arrive at 9:30 a.m. |

| Master's Cap, Gown and Hood:Your graduation fee includes the rental of your regalia. |
You will be fitted on the day of graduation with a master's level cap, gown and hood. This is a RENTAL for graduation day only; after the ceremony it must be returned to the cap and gown tent. If you wish to purchase academic regalia of your own you may contact Herff Jones at www.herff-jones.com |
| Doctoral Cap, Gown and Hood:Your graduation fee includes the rental of your regalia. After the ceremony, it must be returned to the designated area of Alumni Park . |
Please fill out your regalia information (height and cap size) on the online "Graduation Confirmation Form". Please pick up your regalia at the West Los Angeles Graduate Campus, between May 11-20, 2010. This is for your convenience, so you will have time to press your gown and take pictures before or on graduation day. Please call (310) 568-2344 or email GSEPgrad@pepperdine.edu to arrange a pick-up time (M-F, 9am - 4pm). If you wish to purchase academic regalia (cap, gown, doctoral hood, or tam-4 or 8 sided velvet doctoral cap), you may contact Herff Jones at: www.herff-jones.com. Orders take 6-8 weeks. |
| PSI CHI Honor Cord Information |
If you are a member of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology, you are eligible to wear the blue and gold Psi Chi Honor Cord To place a honor cord order download the PDF order form Cords will not be available for purchase on graduation day. Please Note: If you are not a member of the Pepperdine University chapter of Psi Chi but joined Psi Chi as an undergraduate, you will need to provide proof of membership (e.g., a copy of your membership card or certificate) with your order form. If you are eligible to join Psi Chi but haven't yet done so, you may submit a Psi Chi Membership Application (with the $50 membership fee) along with your honor cord order form. You must have earned a minimum 3.70 cumulative GPA to be eligible to join Psi Chi. For further information, contact Cheryl Saunders at psichi@pepperdine.edu or (310) 568-5607. |

| During the Ceremony: |
During the ceremony, men should remove their caps for prayers, the national anthem, and the pledge of allegiance. |
| Presentation of Candidates: |
When the Dean asks the candidates to rise, please rise together and remain standing until the President confers the degree, then you may sit down. Upon cue from the ushers, graduates from each row will rise and proceed to the stage. Enter the stage on the RIGHT side, hand the card you received at check in to the name reader. As your name is called walk across the stage to receive your diploma jacket in your left hand, shake hands with the President, and exit the stage on the LEFT side and return to your chair and be seated. |
| Reception after the ceremony: |
There will be a reception on Alumni Park with light refreshments (cookies and punch) held immediately after the ceremony for graduates, guests, and Pepperdine faculty. |
| Guests: | There is no limit to the number of guests you may invite. Tickets will only be used if there is rain. It is suggested that guests arrive at 9:30 a.m. and proceed directly to the general seating area on Alumni Park. Seats are first come first seated. Guests are NOT permitted to accompany graduates to the robing area. |
| Parking: |
The campus has two entrances. Proceed to either guard booth and you will be directed to parking and the ceremony site. The Malibu campus has several hills; you may be parking on a hill and walking or taking a Pepperdine shuttle bus to the graduation site. Please allow ample time and wear appropriate shoes. Disabled parking spaces are available; please stop at the guard booth and ask to be directed to appropriate parking. |

A photographer from Bob Knight PhotoMarketing, Inc. will be present at the graduation ceremony. The company will send you a complimentary proof after the ceremony. If you wish to purchase the photographs, arrangements for payment and delivery are made between the student and Bob Knight PhotoMarketing, Inc., (800) 261-2576. The University is not liable for any portion of this transaction. |

Phi Delta Kappa Honor Cord |
If you are a member of Phi Delta Kappa International, the Professional Education Association, you are eligible to wear the Honor Cord at the graduation ceremony. To place a honor cord order download the PDF order form and follow the directions. To guarantee availability, your order must be received by Friday, May 28, 2010. Upon receipt of your order and $15.00 check, the cord will be mailed to you. Cords will not be available for purchase on graduation day. Please Note: If you are not a member of the Pepperdine University chapter of PDK but joined as an undergraduate, you will need to provide proof of membership (e.g., a copy of your membership card or certificate) with your order form. If you are eligible to join PDK but haven't yet done so, you may submit a Phi Delta Kappa Membership Application (with the $45 membership fee) along with your honor cord order form.
