Open Entourage. You must be logged on to the Pepperdine network for setup to work properly.
If you do not already have an account set up, screen 1 of the Entourage Setup Assistant will appear. Choose the first item (as shown below); and click the right arrow to continue.
If you do already have an Entourage account set up, from the Entourage menu, select Account Settings. Click the New tab to go directly to screen 2 of the Entourage Setup Assistant.
Enter your information into the screen (as shown below); and click the right arrow to continue.
Please note this difference in entering information: - Domain = pepperdine (for faculty/staff) - Domain = student (for students)
Normally, screen 3 will not appear. Regardless of the message, cick the right arrow to continue.
Enter your information into the screen (as shown below); and click the right arrow to continue.
Click Verify My Settings; wait for settings to be verified; then click the right arrow to continue.
Enter your information into the screen (as shown below); and click the Finish button.
The next two steps will allow Entourage users to access the Pepperdine Global Address List (GAL).
Run Entourage again; and from the Entourage menu, select Account Settings. Highlight the line showing your name; then click the Edit tab.
Click the Advanced tab. Change the LDAP server to "alder.pepperdine.ad.pepperdine.edu". Make sure there are check marks in front of "This server requires me to log on." and "This LDAP server requires a secure connection (SSL)." Then click OK.
