Mozilla Thunderbird E-mail Information

Configuring Thunderbird POP Protocol for Macintosh

  1. Open Thunderbird.
  2. The first time you run Thunderbird, the following window will appear.  Select Email account; then click Continue.

  3. In the Identity window, enter your information as shown on the following image; then click Continue.

  4. In the Server Information window, enter the information as shown on the following image; then click Continue.

  5. In the User Names window, enter your information as shown on the following image; then click Continue.

    Please note this difference in entering information:
    -  pepperdine\username (for faculty/staff)
    -  student\username (for students)

  6. In the Account Name window, enter your information as shown on the following image; then click Continue.

  7. In the Congratulations window, verify that all information is correct; then click Done.

  8. From the Tools menu, select Account Settings.  Select Server Settings in the left-hand list under the new e-mail account you just set up.  Enter your information as shown on the following image.

    Please note this difference in entering information:
    -  pepperdine\username (for faculty/staff)
    -  student\username (for students)

  9. From the same Account Settings window, select Outgoing Server in the left-hand list; then click the Edit button.

  10. In the Settings window, enter your information as shown on the following image; then click OK as many times as necessary to exit the account setup area.
