Changing Network Password via Web Mail
Please note: This document shows how to change your Network password using Web mail. If you are already connected to the Pepperdine Network from a Windows or Macintosh computer, it is preferable that you change your Network password using these instructions.
Special note: Cookies, which is an optional setting in your Web browser, must be turned on in order for you to change your Network password through Web mail. By default, cookies are turned on unless manually disabled. Here are instructions for turning cookies on.
Changing Your Network Password
- Open a Web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox.
- Log into Web mail. (In the Domain\user name field, type "pepperdine" for faculty/staff or "student" for students and alumni; then a back slash, followed by your Network ID. In the Password field, type your Network password. Then press the Enter key.)

- Click the Options button on the Button Bar at the lower, left side of screen.

- Scroll down to the Password section and click the Change Password button.

An empty Internet Service Manager window appears. This one shows how it will look after you have completed steps 5 through 9 below.

- In the Domain field, type "pepperdine" for faculty/staff or "student" for students; then press the Tab key.
- In the Account field, type your Network ID; then press the Tab key.
- In the Old Password field, type in your old password; then press the Tab key.
- In the New Password field, type a new password; then press the Tab key.
- In the Confirm New Password field, re-type the new password.
- Click OK.
- A window will appear confirming the password change. Close the window.
- Save your changes and close the Options window by clicking Save and Close at the top of the window.

- When you are finished using Web mail, please do not forget to click the Log Off button at the top, right side of the Outlook window.

- Close the Web browser.
