In this report, Pepperdine provided:
- updated data portfolios on a variety of capacity measures regarding students, faculty,
and staff.
- an evaluation of key institutional resources, structures, and processes in light
of the WASC standards to demonstrate that the institution operates at or above threshold
levels acceptable for accreditation.
- an analysis of the institution's infrastructure to support educational effectiveness,
especially in regard to retention and graduation, the assessment of student learning,
program review, organizational learning, and use of evidence.
The 2012 Educational Effectiveness Review
In this third stage of accreditation, the university will:
- get faculty deeply involved in the design and implementation of the educational
effectiveness report.
- review institutional efforts to evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs,
with special attention to the institution's program review process.
- examine institutional practices for evaluating student learning, along with developing/sharing
good practices for using educational results to improve the process of teaching
and learning.
- examine the alignment of institutional resources with activities designed to achieve
the institution's educational objectives.
- promote sustained engagement with educational effectiveness measurements and processes
that Pepperdine determined earlier in the accreditation process.
