WASC Brief
Notes from the CPR Site Visit
, September 2010
Pepperdine has now completed the Capacity and Preparatory Review and will receive the official response from the WASC visiting team and from the WASC Commission in the coming weeks. The final session of the site visit was an exit interview in which Curtis McCray, the chair of the team, delivered a 45-minute overview of their preliminary findings. This
WASC Brief
is a summary of the preliminary findings delivered during that session. It is important to note that the WASC visiting team only makes recommendations to the WASC Commission. It is the WASC Commission that will be issuing all official findings and conclusions. Therefore, the report on Friday, September 24, and the summary included in this
Brief
should be regarded as unofficial at this time.

An Update on Pepperdine’s Accreditation
, March 2010
This
WASC Brief
is intended to provide an overview of where we are in the process as well as what will come next in the process. The Brief includes several sections, including an overview of our Institutional Education Objectives formation process, the Capacity and Preparatory Review (CPR) essay themes, and other pertinent information. A key element of the CPR is for the university to write what WASC refers to as “reflective essays” on issues of importance to the institution.
