Overview

The OIE Data Warehouse Data and analysis are at the heart of the OIE. The OIE database is released in several formats: the Common Data Set (CDS), the Factbook, the interactive reports, and national surveys.
  • The Common Data Set (CDS) initiative is a collaborative effort among data providers such as Pepperdine University and publishers as represented by the College Board, Peterson's, and U.S. News & World Report. The CDS aims to improve the quality and accuracy of information provided to all involved in a student's transition into higher education, as well as to reduce the reporting burden on data providers.
  • The Fact book is a Pepperdine initiative that provides data in four primary categories: faculty, students, staff, and programs.
  • The interactive reports are data formats that allow user interface with the OIE database. Currently, interactive reports are available for enrollment, retention and graduation data.
  • National surveys are Pepperdine data from its participation with national student and faculty surveys.
  • And finally, the OIE Research Brief is the published format of high-quality OIE analysis. The briefs are monthly publications showcasing rigorous analysis of Pepperdine data that can be used for strategic planning and policy decisions around the University.
